As part of its commitment to open communication with members, EdTA’s board of directors is continuing to host listening sessions throughout the 2021-2022 school year. The 60-minute sessions revolve around one focus topic for the first 40 minutes, followed by 20 minutes of open discussion, and are open to all EdTA members.
The next session will take place March 2 at 8 p.m. ET. The board welcomes suggestions from members to set that session’s topic; if you’d like to propose one and/or register to attend, please do so on the signup form. Earlier sessions focused on scholarships and the executive director search process.
Topics submitted by January 31 will be considered for the March meeting.
“These sessions are meant to create a forum for dialogue between the board and our members,” said EdTA board president Helen Duranleau-Brennan. “We’re eager to hear what’s on members’ minds and your ideas for the association, so we invite any member to propose topics for future sessions.”
The listening session series is hosted by Duranleau-Brennan, vice president Krista Carson Elhai, and board director Erin Carr. Other board members and EdTA staff will attend to ensure specific program feedback and suggestions are heard by the people who manage the programs.
The final listening session of the school year is scheduled for May 4.
