EdTA’s office will be closed from Saturday, December 23 through Monday, January 1. Happy Holidays to all!

Teachers attend one of two virtual bootcamps offered during the school year.

The Virtual International Thespian Festival ― the ultimate annual celebration of school theatre ― will return June 22-25, 2021. For one week every summer, members of the International Thespian Society and other theatre fans from around the globe gather for performances, interactive workshops led by top teaching artists, and auditions with premier colleges and universities in a community-centered experience like no other. Daily surprises and special appearances by Broadway and Hollywood celebrities mean participants never know who might stop by.

Virtual ITF attendees can:

  • Participate in a broad range of workshops highlighting every theatre interest.
  • Enjoy more than a dozen performances, all created especially for virtual audiences.
  • Audition and compete for scholarships with representatives from colleges and universities around the country.
  • Showcase their talent in the Thespy® Awards program, earning valuable recognition and feedback for their work. New this year: Thespians can choose to participate in more than one Thespy® category.

Virtual ITF is open to all theatre lovers including students, their parents and families, teachers, colleges, industry leaders, and artists. Unique sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities also are available.

Registration launches February 1. More information about the event ― including details about this year’s main stage show selection process and deadlines for college audition and Thespy® Awards participation ― is available on the Virtual ITF website.
