Student Leadership in ITS
The International Thespian Society offers pathways to leadership at whatever level you choose — troupe, chapter, or international. Participation in student leadership activities will give you knowledge you’ll use the rest of your life, whatever career path you choose.
International Thespian Officer program update: The current class of ITO will be the final class of officers as the ITO program comes to a close at the end of the 2023-24 school year. EdTA continues to have robust student leadership opportunities at the chapter level. For more information, contact your chapter.
State Thespian Officers
STOs are Thespian leaders who represent the student voice in their chapters. These officers work year-round with chapter leaders, and Thespians in their states to nurture strong student leaders, advocate for the arts, fundraise for accessibility, and create the best experience possible for students.
International Thespian Student Leadership Council (ITSLC)
The ITSLC is made up of State Thespian Officers (STO) or appointed delegates from each chapter. The ITSLC meets monthly to develop student leadership skills, elevate the voice of student innovation and input, and foster communication among chapter leaders.
