As part of its commitment to open communication with members, EdTA’s board of directors is hosting bimonthly listening sessions throughout the 2021-2022 school year. The 60-minute sessions revolve around one focus topic for the first 40 minutes, followed by 20 minutes of open discussion, and are open to all EdTA members.

November’s session will focus on the search for EdTA’s next executive director. As was recently announced, the association has retained Good Insight as the executive search firm to recruit and hire that role. The listening session will be an opportunity for members to meet the Good Insight team and provide input that will help them in their recruiting efforts.

“Good Insight is eager to meet our members and learn about their experiences,” said board vice president and search committee co-chair Krista Carson Elhai. “This listening session will help them gain knowledge to inform the candidate search.”

The session will take place November 3 at 8 p.m. ET. If you’d like to participate, register via this form, and a meeting link will be provided to you the day of the meeting.

The listening session series is hosted by Elhai, president Helen Duranleau-Brennan, and board director Erin Carr. Other board members and EdTA staff will attend to ensure specific program feedback and suggestions are heard by the people who manage the programs.

Members are invited to mark their calendars for future listening sessions on January 5, March 2, and May 4, all at 8 p.m. ET. Topics will be announced closer to the session dates.
