EdTA and executive recruiting partner Good Insight are pleased to release the job announcement for EdTA’s next executive director, who also serves as president of ETF. The position is posted on EdTA’s and Good Insight’s websites, and being advertised on LinkedIn and other job boards.

“A leadership transition is the perfect opportunity to reflect and clarify the next executive director’s key responsibilities and qualifications. We wanted this process to reflect the ideas and desires of our stakeholders,” said Krista Carson Elhai, search committee co-chair and EdTA board vice president.
An extensive discovery process took place over October and November: Surveys, listening sessions, and interviews resulted in 80 touchpoints from the membership, board, and staff. The board of directors approved a new job position informed by these discussions.
EdTA’s ideal executive director will be an enthusiastic champion for students and educators and bring leadership skills to guide a multimillion-dollar association and foundation. The role will work closely with members and staff to affirm the importance of theatre education’s enduring ability to shape lives.
Through job boards, networking, and referrals, Good Insight will recruit and screen candidates for a series of interviews with the search committee. The search committee will present a final recommendation to the board of directors. The target is to hire the new executive director in time to meet the membership at the International Thespian Festival in June 2022.

“Recruiting our next executive director is a group effort,” said Matt Conover, search committee co-chair and chair of the ETF board of trustees. “Our members can help by circulating this exciting opportunity with their network and refer candidates to Good Insight, our recruiting partners.”
