Teaching Theatre magazine launched in 1989 to provide professional development resources for our member teachers. The magazine offered timely articles on theatre topics and profiles of outstanding theatre programs, and served as a valued resource for trends or current issues in the field, such as funding, standards, and advocacy.
Though the magazine ceased publication in 2020, EdTA now publishes articles on news, trends, and issues important to the field in our Theatre Education blog (see below), supplemented by teaching tools in our Learning Center. Adult members receive the biweekly Teaching Theatre email newsletter highlighting great content from both resources.
You can access issues back to 2010 in the Teaching Theatre digital archive.
