Krin Brooks Perry

Krin Brooks Perry taught hundreds of theatre students in a teaching career that started in 1958. Working at schools throughout the state of Texas, she chartered five Thespian troupes. At the time of her Hall of Fame induction, she was the theatre specialist for the Division of Curriculum Development at the Texas Education Agency. In this position she developed and presented more than forty workshops covering curriculum developments, materials, agency news, and state board of education rulings. She has also been involved with continuing education for many years.

Ms. Perry served on and chaired committees for the American Alliance for Theatre Education, the Texas Speech Communication Association, and the Texas Educational Theatre Association. Under her leadership as state chairperson, Texas was the winner of the 1991 Theatre in Our Schools Outstanding State Award. She was a member of the Educational Theatre Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Association for Theatre Disability, Austin Circle of Theatres, and the University Interscholastic League.
