The only conference of its kind in the state, Colorado’s ThesCon hosts over 5,000 participants who gather to take part in performance, technical theatre and film workshops offered by professionals in the industry and university professors; see two mainstage performances (one for the Jr Conference); participate in individual events in performance and technical theatre design and execution; touch base with national and local vendors; and be a part of the educational theatre community in Colorado. High School seniors who are inducted Thespians have the opportunity to audition for over 30 college, universities, and conservatories in attendance. In addition, three Colorado Thespian scholarships – the Jay Seller scholarships – are awarded in each of the following categories: Acting, Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre. This event is open to all educators and student who attend public, private, or charter schools in the state. Individuals must attend the conference with a registered school. Individual attendees are not permitted.
