Tim Federle grew up in San Francisco and Pittsburgh before moving to New York to dance on Broadway. He appeared in the The Little Mermaid and Gypsy before coaching the young stars of Billy Elliot. Federle’s debut novel, Better Nate Than Ever, was named a New York Times Editors’ Choice, an Amazon Best Book of the Year, and a Publishers Weekly Flying Start. Its forthcoming sequel, Five, Six, Seven, Nate!, has received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Kirkus.

Tim Federle will present two dynamic workshops during the Junior Thespian Festival. Tim will present Tips and tricks for nailing a Broadway audition for students, in addition to Getting the best out of your young performers for adults.

During the Junior Thespian Festival, Tim Federle will be signing copies of his young adult literature titles, Better Nate Than Ever and Five, Six, Seven, Nate!, at the following times:

Friday, February 28
7:00 – 7:45 p.m.

Saturday, March 1
6:45 – 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 2

9:00 – 10:30 a.m.



Eli Yamin
is a co-founder of the Jazz Drama Program in New York City. The Jazz Drama Program is a non-profit organization that uplifts students, teachers, and their communities through interactive experiences in the jazz arts: storytelling, music, theatre, dance, and visual arts. Yamin will present Making a soulful sound with the blues and Nora’s Ark, the jazz musical! which he presented at the Junior Thespian Festival 2013 in Georgia. He will also offer a new workshop, Hot rhythm and the power protest and song, neither of which is to be missed.
